How to reach the Elba Island
By-Boat
The Elba Island is easily reachable through daily connections from seaport of Piombino Marittima (Grosseto). From there ferry and hydrofoil services depart regularly and arrive at Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro, and Rio Marina (More information at www.moby.it and www.toremar.it).
By Train
The Elba Island is also reachable through numerous railway links with trains starting everyday from most European cities (End station is PIOMBINO MARITTIMA). For further information about railway from Europe and from Italy, visit the following websites:

By-Car
From the North:
Take highway Genova-Livorno, exit at Rosignano. Then take highway Livorno-Grosseto until Venturina. From there, you reach Piombino few minutes later.
From the North-East:
Take highway Bologna–Firenze–Pisa–Livorno, exit at Rosignano. Then take highway Livorno–Grosseto until Venturina which is 15 km faraway from the harbour of Piombino.
From the South:
Take highway Roma–Grosseto, then take the Aurelia road until you exit at Venturina–Island Elba.
